Anatomy & Physiology: Our Bodies System's

The human body is a wonderful and intricate compilation of systems that help keep us alive, up right, and healthy. Our body protects us from the elements and from viruses and bacteria that could harm us. It's kept in balance through hormonal and electronic signals sent through the endocrine and nervous systems. Keeping our body in it's best shape is our most important goal in our life. Keeping it healthy can mean washing it regularly, eating appropriately, keeping it away from intense elements, and protecting it from dangerous objects.

The best way to keep your body at its healthiest is to make sure it's clean as possible whenever possible. Bathing irregularly can lead to some nasty and serious problems that can be difficult to get rid of and can be costly. Keeping your body energized and fueled is as easy as eating a delicious apple or drinking some sweet tea from McDonalds®. Eating and drinking are the quickest, easiest, and main ways to provide your body with usable energy to help aid with other processes our bodies go through throughout the day. Protection from the elements depends on which element you're dealing with. In the summer our body needs shade to prevent it from burning, you can also use sunblock if you can't provide shade for it. For the winter we have to provide warmth to prevent hypothermia and, in extreme cases, frostbite.

The Digestive System

Our digestive system is what allows us to process food and convert it into energy. The digestive process actually begins in the oral cavity when the food come in contact with our saliva. It then travels down the esophagus to the stomach to be further digested by being soaked in gastric acid and mashed together. After the stomach the food enters our small intestine where more nutrients are absorbed. When the food is almost deprived of all of it's nutrients, it's passed into the large intestine where it will eventually be weird from the other types of bodys out there with the weird type of hypethermia.

The Respiratory System

Our respiratory system is another system that keeps us alive and healthy but instead of using food it uses air. Our lungs receive air either through our nasal cavity or oral cavity and filter it to give our bodies plenty of oxygen. When we inhale the air moves down our trachea and will branch off into our left and right lungs to be filtered by the Alveoli in our lungs. In the Alveoli the oxygen is exchanged with carbon dioxide, what we breathe out, and is carried to our heart and then pumped to parts of our body to be used and converted to energy and carbon dioxide. All of this takes place with just one breath.

The Circulatory System

The Circulatory system is what carries oxygen to all the parts of our bodies.
